Engineering students distribute toys to children in hospital

The ENSAM Gaziers.ères association, created by engineering students studying Mechanical Engineering - Production/Maintenance, has been undertaking solidarity initiatives for hospitalized children for several months.

Annabelle, Jonathan, Pierre, Romain, and Abel created the association "Les Gazier.ères de l'ENSAM." First, the engineering students collected new toys from professionals. Then, they organized a fundraiser for individuals. Thanks to this fundraiser, the donations were supplemented by purchases of additional comic books, books, and toys.

The student motorcyclists then set off on a week-long motorcycle trip in early May 2021 to distribute the fruits of their labor to hospitals in Tarbes, Bayonne, Mont-de-Marsan, La Rochelle, and Rochefort. This was also an opportunity to meet the children and healthcare staff in person.

"These were truly moments of sharing and exchange, made all the more rewarding in this particular health context. We received very warm feedback from service managers, nursing assistants, and parents. This motivates us to repeat the operation next year, perhaps with new members..."
