A look back at Rita’s journey: a general engineering student in the Grande Ecole Engineering Programme Lille who has already earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Measurements

After obtaining a degree in Physical Measurements, Rita joined the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille through the AMbition program. She explains the admission process and her integration into the campus.

"How were you evaluated during the competition?"

I had a motivational interview with two teachers. I described an image that was given to me, and then they asked me questions about my motivations.

I submitted my resume and cover letter to highlight my past experiences and skills. I recommend obtaining a letter of recommendation for further studies.

But what's important is to have a strong academic record, get good grades, and rank high in your class. Your higher education application is evaluated once your high school diploma results are in.

Non-academic activities should not be overlooked either. Active participation in campus life is appreciated.

"How did your integration at Arts et Métiers go Arts et Métiers "

"We have remedial classes inthe first year because we don't have the same theoretical background as students who come from CPGE (preparatory classes for the grandes écoles). I thought it was great to have extra classes.

We are fortunate to have teachers who take the time to explain each subject to us. What's more, we are a small class (16 students), so we really feel privileged.

"And what about student life?"

We have a wonderful student life at Arts et Métiers. It is rich in events and traditions. We don't have this kind of integration at other schools. It's an incredible human experience that helps us integrate better and get to know each other.

It's amazing to see how committed all the second-year students are to making our orientation period a memorable one. I don't feel left out at all and I really enjoy school!

"What advice would you give to someone who wants to join Arts et Métiers "

"In a word, go for it! If you like to try your hand at everything and enjoy practical work, this school offers a versatile program and opens many doors in a variety of sectors. In short, submit your application and apply!
