On the Cluny campus, a robotics club has been created at the initiative of several students who are passionate about robotics. This year, they are preparing to participate in the French Robotics Cup.

Driven by a passion for robotics and mechatronics, several students set themselves the challenge of competing in the French Robotics Cup, the largest gathering of students in the field. They were soon joined by about a dozen other students eager to explore this area of engineering. This is a long-term project that addresses a need among students for both their academic and personal projects. That is why it is at the center of three school projects this year as part of Grande Ecole Engineering Programme PGE) at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Cluny.

This club is an opportunity for everyone to deepen their skills in robotics and mechatronics. An association has even been created— ARTeC Robotique (ART Technologie Cluny) —to ensure the project's long-term viability by laying solid foundations. For the association's board, this means acquiring new skills: management, project management, communication—all the human skills of a good engineer that are put to the test in the field.

With a budget of several thousand euros, several manufacturers are supporting this project: Stäubli, a robotics company, and Equans Digital, which offers multi-physical solutions. They are partners in the project and are contributing both technically and financially. The association has also received a grant from the school's FSDIE (student union).

Without this financial support, it would have been impossible to launch a project like this. At first, getting the club off the ground was difficult due to a lack of premises and funding, but today it is well integrated into campus life, with its own premises and around 20 participants in the first and second years of the PGE program.
