At the end of the year, second-year students in the Grande École Program took part in the Innov'AM challenge, during which they worked on real-world business projects to come up with innovative solutions.

INNOVAM CHALLENGE: FACED WITH THE REALITIES OF THE INDUSTRIAL WORLD, STUDENTS PROPOSE INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO COMPANIES

During the Innov'AM challenge, students had one week to work on concrete business projects, for which they proposed innovative, creative, and technical solutions.

A win-win challenge that offers students the opportunity to spark their curiosity by discovering a variety of industrial and economic sectors.

STUDENTS SERVING BUSINESSES

Second-year students in Grande Ecole Engineering Programme four-year engineering degree), guided by our faculty and expert engineers, proposed new concepts, fresh ideas, and innovative solutions to challenges presented by companies (design, innovation, industrial organization, sustainable development, etc.).

Some figures:

  • 4 companies: Alter, Alstom, Redeem Medical, Crossway Technologies
  • 4 teams of 4 students per company
  • One full week dedicated to one topic per company
  • 10 reference teachers 

Supervision provided by two advisors (teachers, teacher-researchers, engineers) and experts from the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers .
The student teams challenged themselves to submit four to five proposals and preliminary technical or organizational studies to companies.

  • Workstation ergonomics
  • Reuse of second-hand medical devices
  • Study of energy performance and passenger comfort in a tram 
  • Greening city streets to combat heat islands

 

A CHALLENGE LABELED FRENCH FAB

This InnovAM challenge is certified French Fab, supported by the Pays de la Loire region, and brings together higher education institutions including Arts et Métiers.
French Fab connects manufacturers and students to offer them a unique experience in which inspired students propose innovative, value-added solutions to companies.
This partnership allows students to apply their skills in a practical setting and discover the reality of the business and industrial worlds.
Companies, for their part, benefit from the students' ideas, which enable them to move forward with their various projects.
