The first Erasmus+ cooperation partnership project coordinated by Arts et Métiers, GreenDiLT aims to rethink the use of digital technology in training.

GreenDiLT (Green Digital Learning and Teaching) is perfectly aligned with the European Union's environmental priorities and reflectsArts et Métiers commitmentArts et Métiers being a player in the ecological transition, both in terms of the content and format of its teaching, says Léopold Boyart-Bienenfeld, project manager at the Deputy General Directorate for Research and Innovation. This project supports virtuous digital practices in higher education to ensure a sustainable digital transition. "
In addition, GreenDiLT will strengthenArts et Métiers tiesArts et Métiers European higher education institutions, particularly its partners in the ENHANCE European University alliance (more information).

A questionnaire to find out about usage

GreenDiLT brings together five European institutions (see below) that will work together to create practical tools for regulating digital practices.
This requires supporting those involved in education (teachers, students, support staff, etc.) in the sustainable use of digital technologies through awareness-raising and training initiatives.
The first step is to map the uses, level of knowledge, and expectations of stakeholders with regard to the responsible use of digital technology. To this end, a survey will be conducted among partners and opened up to other institutions.
The data collected will be used to create tools to develop the knowledge of training stakeholders regarding the environmental impact of digital technologies and to change practices.
GreenDiLT will therefore take the form of a charter of best practices, a white paper, face-to-face training workshops, and distance learning modules.

Five working groups

GreenDiLT will be organized into five inter-institutional working groups (Work Packages), each of which will contribute its own expertise:

  • WP1: Project management
  • WP2: establishing an inventory of equipment, current digital practices, and stakeholders' expectations
  • WP3: Proposal for tools to analyze the environmental impact of digital tools
  • WP4: Implementation of a training plan for the various stakeholders
  • WP5: Dissemination, promotion, and communication of the project

As the lead partner of GreenDiLT, Arts et Métiers responsible for coordinating the activities of all WPs and leads WP2.

A budget of €250,000

To carry out its missions, a budget has been allocated by the Erasmus+ program: it amounts to €250,000 in total, of which just over €60,000 Arts et Métiers for Arts et Métiers.

The GreenDiLT launch meeting was held on October 24 at Arts et Métiers the Paris campus. All partners were invited to discuss the project review, working groups, and to define the collaborative implementation of activities.
