LAMPA (Angers Laboratory of Mechanics, Processes, and Innovation), located on the Angers campus is organizing the Manufacturing 21 conference a scientific conference hosted by laboratories, manufacturers, and technical centers on scientific and technological topics related to Industry 4.0.

Originally planned as an in-person event on campus, it will now be held remotely on TEAMS.

For this edition, the conference will focus on manufacturing processes, with the following main themes:

  • the machinability of materials,
  • additive manufacturing,
  • machine control,
  • the study of the cutting tool,
  • abrasion processes,
  • surface integrity.

The main objectives of this conference are to bring together expertise and experts from different fields related to key manufacturing processes, whether academic or industrial. The multidisciplinary nature of the analysis and optimization of these processes requires the pooling of multiple and complex skills from both a scientific and industrial perspective.

The Manufacturing 21 Conference in figures:

  • 2 plenary sessions (Airbus Operations and Safran Landing Systems)

  • 2 virtual rooms

  • 42 20-minute presentations

  • Nearly thirty research laboratories represented

  • More than a hundred people expected

This event will also be an opportunity to present three thesis awards to doctoral students in partnership with the machining club.
