Thesis defense by Uzair Khaleeq uz Zaman, doctoral student at the Design, Manufacturing, and Control Laboratory at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Metz: "Integrated Product-Process Design applied to the selection of additive manufacturing processes"

This research aims to propose an integrated approach that allows simultaneous consideration of product/process parameters in the context of additive manufacturing. Product development is undergoing profound change, taking into account the constraints of customization, increasingly shorter time-to-market, the desire for an eco-responsible approach, etc. This paradigm shift is leading to a focus on the choice of material/process combination from the design phase onwards in order to take into account the constraints associated with the identified process.
