On September 30, engineering studentsArts et Métiers armedArts et Métiers with gloves and trash bags. Their goal: to clean up the beach and parking lot at Super Sud in Lacanau after the summer break to combat coastal pollution and raise public awareness of the importance of protecting the environment.
150 students collected various types of waste accumulated in this fragile ecosystem. The ONF, which is responsible for the site, welcomed this civic-minded and motivated initiative by the students.
A joint effort for the environment that builds team spirit
This civic initiative is part of the orientation period for first-year engineering students, organized by second-year students. The aim is for new students to put into practice the values that Arts et Métiers engineers Arts et Métiers possess: solidarity, team spirit, efficiency, and respect for the environment.
For second-year students, organizing this event is a project in its own right, requiring skills in management, logistics, partnership relations, needs and risk assessment, team management, and human resources, etc.
Commitment, solidarity, fraternity: values cherished by Arts et Métiers engineers
The humanitarian association GaSole, created by Arts et Métiers engineering students Arts et Métiers managing the operation, carries out various charitable activities throughout the year: food drives, blood drives, working with the Restos du Coeur soup kitchen, etc.
