The 17th CIRP Conference on Computer Aided Tolerancing will review and discuss the advances, research results and industrial improvements in the field of variability management in the context of Industry 4.0. The theme of the conference is:
“ Specification and verification vs Industry 4.0 ”
Tolerancing has a long history in research and practice, and advances in the computational power to assist complex analyses and simulations have given the field a strong new trajectory as an integral tool in managing the product lifecycle. The promise of Industry 4.0 is that product realization is supported by intelligent devices distributed throughout the manufacturing environment. The presence of the digital thread and digital twin provides additional opportunities in the field of tolerancing and metrology.
The Organizing Committee invites you to submit an abstract/paper and looks forward to welcome you to the 17th CIRP Conference on Computer Aided Tolerancing – CAT 2022.

Abstract Submission
- Go to the Procedia CIRP submission website : https://www.editorialmanager.com/procir/default.aspx
- Log in as Author (create an Elsevier system account, if neccessary)
- Click « Submit New Manuscript »
- Select article type : SI PROCIRP CIRP CAT 2022 (Title less than 64 characters)
- Download the Declaration of Interest template (link on the left), fill it in, and upload it
- Upload your abstract under *Abstract
- Answer the questions
- Fill in the paper data, make sure you also declare the Funding Information (required)
- Submit and wait for the pdf to be built. Review and accept Ethics in Publishing.
- Approve submission after reviewing the generated pdf.
